Known as "The art hotel", VP Plaza España Design 5* is one of the luxury hotels of reference in Madrid and stands out precisely for having one of the largest private collections of contemporary art in the hotel sector in Madrid.
On the occasion of Madrid Hotel Week, we are opening our doors to the Madrid public to offer them a free and unique experience aimed at a small group of people, who will enjoy a guided tour of this hotel-museum. This art walk will take them from the public works of the establishment, to those more private and even those that are totally inaccessible to the general public because they are located in rooms or in certain areas of the hotel reserved only for our VIP guests. The privileged guests will be able to get to know and get close to one of the most spectacular and hidden contemporary works of art in the capital; the impressive sculpture "La Cascada", by the artist Pere Gifre (Figueres, 1974), one of the largest indoor sculptures in Europe, with a total height of 25 metres. This striking work is complemented by the abstract paintings of Fernando Palacios and Darío Urzay, the reliefs of Nacho Zubelzu and the installations of the Dutch artist Jan Hendrix, among many other artists. A private cultural and artistic heritage, which temporarily and as a minority opens its doors to the public of Madrid.
